Mongolian Vodka Linked to Deaths

Mongolian officials are reporting that 11 people have died and another 21 were hospitalized for drinking tainted vodka during New Year’s Eve celebrations. Tests showed that the vodka was made with methanol spirits normally associated with nonfood purposes such as cleaning. In response to the tragic deaths, all shops were closed and further celebrations banned.
